Lithium-ion industrial cell in size 14430 with 700mAh¹ capacity. This special size is used in areas where space is at a premium, e.g. electric toothbrushes, electric shavers, laser pointers, etc. The 14430 is also becoming increasingly important in modelling, industry and the assembly of battery packs.

The 14430 size is only produced in smaller quantities due to lower demand. Special sizes such as the 14430 are also increasingly benefiting from the further development of standard sizes. The use of new materials and chemical components is making the cell more and more popular.

Safety instructions:
Unprotected industrial cell: 14430 cells generally do not have an integrated protective circuit (PCB). Only use in devices/battery packs with BMS/protection function (overcharging, deep discharge, overcurrent, short circuit).
Charge correctly: Only charge with a Li-ion charger (CC/CV), max. 4.20 V. Do not charge below 0 °C.
Avoid deep discharge: Do not discharge the cell below the minimum voltage specified by the manufacturer (typically approx. 2.5-3.0 V).
Prevent short circuits: Never bring terminals into contact with metal, insulate terminals during transport/storage (e.g. protective box), do not carry loose in bags/toolboxes.
Risk of confusion: 14430 may look similar to AA, but is Li-Ion (typ. 3.6-3.7 V). Only use if the device is expressly approved for Li-Ion.

- Without extras: Battery cell without options as in the main picture.
- Raised positive terminal: Button (nipple) welded to the positive terminal using a special welding process raises the flat positive terminal by approx. 2 mm, similar to a normal battery, for example (at extra cost).
- Solder lug: A metal tongue that is firmly connected to the positive and negative terminals of the battery and is used to solder a connecting wire or additional batteries to the component (at an extra charge).
U - Both solder tags point in one direction (e.g. for parallel connection or soldering to electronic components)
Z - Solder tags point in opposite directions. (e.g. for series connection or soldering to components)
¹ The nominal capacity and minimum capacity of a battery indicate the amount of energy it can store under ideal laboratory conditions. This value is measured at a constant temperature and under defined conditions in order to create a reliable reference for the performance of the battery. Measurements with standard household devices (e.g. USB measuring devices, chargers with an analysis function) often show lower values, as these work under different conditions and cannot achieve the manufacturer's laboratory conditions.

Notes:
Charging lithium-ion batteries requires a special charger that charges the batteries according to a special charging procedure. (CCCV = constant current, constant voltage.) The batteries must not be charged above a voltage of 4.2 volts, otherwise there is a risk of fire and explosion. It is advantageous to charge the batteries only up to approx. 4.1 volts, as this significantly increases the service life or number of charging cycles (possibly up to double). Only lithium-ion chargers may be used for charging. However, cheap chargers sometimes have the disadvantage that they do not switch off safely at the end of the charging process, but continue to charge the batteries with a low charging current, which can be dangerous.
Furthermore, rechargeable batteries and batteries do not belong in household waste! Please dispose of them as prescribed by law in the municipal collection centres or in the [usually green] containers provided for this purpose by retailers.
