The KP-P50B model sets a new standard with its outstanding power/energy ratio. The cell offers 5.0Ah for 100W discharge and 5C (25A) fast charging power. Exceptional energy output with its low internal resistance ensures more efficient power output with minimal heat generation.

The cell was developed for applications such as High performance drones (heavy duty drones), motorsport, hammer drills, industrial, garden tools etc. Ideally suited for applications such as powerful RC models, battery carriers, MTB enduro or Dunhill e-bikes as well as all applications where high current output with long runtimes and short charging times are the decisive criteria.


This high-current cell can be used with a constant load of 60A to 80°. Current draws of up to 90A pulse for approx. 3s are realistic with this cell.
Excellent charging properties up to 25A (temp. monitored up to 70 °C) enable rapid charging of the cell.

Molicel was founded in 1987 from a research group specialising in lithium ions. Molicel was one of the pioneers of the lithium-ion industry. Molicel batteries are used wherever extreme operation and high reliability are required. Customers include NASA, DASA, Dyson, Boeing etc.

Lithium-ion batteries are thermally stable and are not subject to a memory effect.
They work on the basis of lithium and are characterised by a high energy density.

- Raised positive terminal: A button (nipple) welded to the positive terminal using a special welding process raises the flat positive terminal by approx. 2 mm, similar to a normal battery, for example (at extra cost).
- Solder lug: A metal tongue that is firmly connected to the positive and negative terminals of the battery and is used to solder a connecting wire or additional batteries to the component (at an extra charge).
U - Both solder tags point in one direction (e.g. for parallel connection or soldering to electronic components)
Z - Solder tags point in opposite directions. (e.g. for series connection or soldering to components)

Notes on use and distribution.

Please note: The Molicel industrial cell has no integrated electronic protection circuit PCB/BMS and no sufficient insulation for normal household use (e-cigarette, torch, etc.) as well as no labelling. The industrial cells are designed for further processing into battery packs or integrated use.
For use in e-cigarettes or e-shisha, Keeppower offers the KP-P50B cells (Product: 12132), which aresufficiently insulated and labelled with important key figures and are suitable for use in devices equipped exclusively with protective electronics.

 

* The stated capacity of a battery indicates the amount of energy it can store under ideal laboratory conditions. This value is measured at a constant temperature and under defined conditions in order to create a reliable reference for the performance of the battery. These conditions are not met by commercially available test devices.
** Use of the cell at this value is only permitted with temperature monitoring. (see table or data sheet)

Notes:

Charging lithium-ion batteries requires a special charger that charges the batteries according to a special charging procedure (CCCV = constant current, constant voltage.) The batteries must not be charged above a voltage of 4.2 volts, otherwise there is a risk of fire and explosion. It is advantageous to charge the batteries only up to approx. 4.1 volts, as this significantly increases the service life or the number of charging cycles (possibly up to double). Only lithium-ion chargers may be used for charging. However, the cheap chargers sometimes have the disadvantage that they do not switch off safely at the end of the charging process, but continue to charge the batteries with a small charging current, which can be dangerous.

Furthermore, rechargeable batteries and batteries do not belong in household waste! Please dispose of them as prescribed by law in the municipal collection points or in the [usually green] containers provided by retailers.
