In addition to the charging of 1.5 V Li-ion batteries, the display of charged capacity and precise setting of the charging current in 10 mA steps (only in advanced mode), the display has also been revised for a better overview. Enova Gyrfalcon All-88 Pro battery charger with analyser function for Li-Ion, LiFePO4 & NiMH


The Enova Gyrfalcon All-88 Pro is a professional "multi-chemistry" charger for the following battery types:
Li-Ion 1.5 V / 3.6 V - 3.8 V (1.5 V - 4.2 V - 4.30 V - 4.35 V)
LiFePO₄ 3.2V (3.6V) and
NiMH/Ni-Cd 1.2V (1.45 - 1.6V).

The Gyrfalcon All-88 Pro offers eight completely independent and individually configurable charging bays, large enough to hold 8 × 26650 with excess length(max.72mm). Each bay has its own display showing the actual battery voltage, battery type, charging current, charged capacity, charging progress and elapsed time. The charging current can be set in small steps (10mA) from 0.1A (100mA) to 2A (2000mA), so that even the smallest batteries can be charged gently (only in advanced mode). At the same time, the Enova Gyrfalcon All-88 Pro is also powerful enough to charge even 8 large batteries simultaneously at 2A (only with a powerful PD power supply)

INFO: When charging 1.5 V Li-ion batteries, the charger may display a voltage of around 4.84 V. This is normal and not a defect. This is normal and not a defect. This voltage is required to supply the electronics integrated in the battery, which are used to charge the actual cell core. The electronics convert the voltage internally to the appropriate charging voltage for the cell core.

You do not need to worry about this - this behaviour is inherent to the design and is common for 1.5 V Li-ion batteries with integrated regulation.

Frequently asked questions about the GyrFalcon ALL-88

Which battery types does the ALL-88 support?
The ALL-88 is suitable for common round cells and, depending on the battery chemistry, supports, among others Li-Ion (3.6/3.7 V), LiFePO4 (3.2 V) and NiMH/NiCd (1.2 V). Each slot works independently so that different batteries can be charged in parallel.
Can I charge different cell sizes at the same time?
Yes, you can use different sizes at the same time (e.g. AA/AAA, 18650, 21700 etc.) as long as they fit mechanically into the slots and are supported by the device.
What does "adjustable charging current in small increments" mean?
The charging current can be selected in defined steps for each slot. This allows the charging process to be optimised for the battery size, capacity and chemistry - e.g. particularly gentle for small cells or faster for large high-capacity cells.
Why does the charger sometimes display ~4.8 V for 1.5 V Li-ion batteries?
1.5 V Li-ion batteries have integrated electronics (voltage regulation). This is supplied with a higher voltage by the charger so that the internal cell core can be charged correctly. The electronics convert the voltage applied internally to the appropriate charging voltage. This is normal - you do not need to worry about this.
Why is "charged capacity" different from "measured discharge capacity"?
The capacity is technically correctly determined via a defined discharge. Under load, the cell voltage can reach a switch-off value earlier and recover again after the load is removed (voltage recovery). During subsequent charging, only the "missing" voltage range needs to be filled up to the final charging voltage. This is why the charging and discharging displays may differ.
Are there any tips for the best possible measurement results (testing/grading)?
For comparable results, we recommend always measuring with identical discharge current, identical cut-off voltage and as constant an ambient temperature as possible. For batteries with integrated electronics (e.g. 1.5 V Li-ion), grading and analysis functions may vary depending on the device.

Note: The actual compatibility may vary depending on the battery version (e.g. length for protected cells, integrated electronics for 1.5 V Li-ion).
