With 950mAh nominal capacity, 4.20V final charging voltage and a compact design of approx. 14.10 x 48.50 mm, the DLG INR14500-095 is suitable for many portable and technical applications. The battery is particularly interesting for compatible LED torches, 14500-capable devices, OEM applications and customised battery packs that require a standard cell, a raised positive terminal or solder tags, depending on the design.

Important note: Although a 14500 Li-Ion cell is similar in size to an AA/Mignon cell, it operates at a significantly higher voltage of 3.6V / 3.7V. This battery may therefore only be used in devices that are expressly designed for 14500 Li-Ion batteries.

Raised positive terminal: Button welded to the positive terminal using a special welding process raises the flat positive terminal by approx. 2 mm, similar to a normal battery. (for an extra charge)
Solder lug: A metal tongue (W: 5mm x L: 20mm x D: 0.15mm), which is firmly connected to the positive and negative terminals of the battery and is used to solder connecting wires or other batteries to the component. (for an extra charge)
- U: Both solder tags point in one direction, e.g. for parallel connection or for soldering to electronic components.

Frequently asked questions about the DLG INR14500-095

Is a 14500 rechargeable battery the same as a normal AA battery?

No. The size is similar, but the voltage is not. A 14500 Li-Ion cell operates at 3.6V / 3.7V and may only be used in devices that are specifically designed for 14500 Li-Ion batteries.

Which charging parameters apply to the battery?

As standard, the battery is charged with CC/CV at 4.20V and 475mA. The cut-off current is 10mA. The maximum charging current is 950mA.

What is the maximum discharge current?

The maximum continuous discharge current is 1900mA. According to the data sheet, 2850mA is not intended for permanent continuous discharge.

What are solder lug U and solder lug Z useful for?

These variants are particularly suitable for battery packs, OEM assemblies and technical applications with fixed contacts. U and Z differ in the orientation of the solder tags.

What are the benefits of the version with a raised positive pole?

The raised positive pole improves mechanical compatibility with devices that require a button-top contact. The positive terminal is raised by approx. 2 mm.

In which devices can the battery be used?

Typical applications include compatible LED torches, 14500-compatible portable devices, technical assemblies and customised battery packs. It is always crucial that the device is expressly designed for 14500 Li-Ion cells.

What temperature ranges apply?

The charging range is 0 to 45°C, the discharging range is -20 to 60°C. Different temperature ranges apply for storage depending on the duration.

What certifications are available?

UL 1642 and IEC 62133-2 / CB documents are available for the cell. The MSDS also refers to UN38.3-compliant transport tests.

What does mAh mean?

mAh stands for milliampere-hours and describes the amount of electrical charge that a cell can provide under defined conditions.

What is the nominal capacity?

The nominal capacity is the capacity value specified under defined test conditions. For this model, this is 950mAh at 0.2C to 2.75V.

What does Wh mean?

Wh stands for watt hours and describes the energy. The nominal energy of this cell is 3.42Wh.

What does C-rate mean?

The C-rate is the ratio between current and capacity. For 950mAh, 1C corresponds to a current of 950mA. 0.5C corresponds to 475mA, 2C corresponds to 1900mA.

What does ≥80% after 300 cycles mean?
