The XTAR MX8 automatically recognises the battery type and charge status and adjusts the charging process accordingly. Several integrated protection mechanisms and the use of high-quality materials ensure safe and reliable operation in daily use.
The following lithium-ion battery types can be charged with the Xtar MX8:
Li-ion IMR, INR, ICR(1.5V; 3.6/3.7V nominal voltage) : AA, AAA, 10440, 10500, 12340, 12500, 12650, 13450, 13500, 13650, 14350, 14430, 14500, 14650, 16500, 16340(RCR123), 16650, 17350, 17500, 17650, 17670, 18350, 18490, 18500, 18650, 20700, 21700, 22500, 22650
All batteries listed can also be recharged in a protected version (PCB/BMS).
26650, 26700 and 26800 batteries up to 81 mm in length can be charged, but require a free neighbouring slot. Maximum of 4 batteries at the same time.
Sizes not listed can also be charged as long as they are not thicker than 22 mm and longer than 81 mm.
The following NiMH battery types can be charged with the Xtar MX8:
NiMH/NiCD (1.2 V nominal voltage) AAA, AA
